FAQs

Do you do framing?

Yes. I offer framing on all of my prints in a range of sizes. All frames are handmade by specialist picture framers. made by skilled. Frames are crafted from solid wood and come ready to hang.

Do you do commissions?

Yes I do. Please contact me using the ‘Commissions’ link in the main menu. I can create a combination of original book art, and bespoke fine art prints.

What are ‘Paper Cuts’?

These are what I call my handcut original works. They are made from real pages torn from real books. They are not prints.

What are ‘Single Paper Cuts’?

These are single art works from a single book page. Al letters and imagery is hand cut.

What are ‘Double Paper Cuts’?

These are Paper Cuts where I take the cut out pieces from a single book page and create another work. This work forms a mirror of the original. You recieve both art works. You can see an example of this in my “Dream With Fig 195”, taken from Sylvia Plath’s novel The Bell Jar.

What is your favourite book?

There are too many to name! Unlike films, I rarely read a book twice. If my plane crashed into the ocean and I washed up on a deserted beach, the book I would choose would be Where The Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens. An evocative, moving story bursting with images of the natural world.

How long does it take to make one of your ‘Paper Cuts’?

It all depends on the complexity. For one of my ‘Double Paper Cuts’ , I would say between 5 - 10 hours. This is from identifying the line I want to use, to listing it on my web site.

How should I look after my art?

When hanging avoid exposure to direct sunlight in order to prevent fading.

How will I receive my art?

I send all of my Paper Cuts secured within triple wall cardboard packaging. This ensures that your artwork arrives undamaged. These are sent via Royal Mail, tracked with a signature.

All framed prints are sent via DPD courier. All unframed fine art prints are sent via 24 hour Royal Mail and will either come in an anti-crush postal tube or extra strong flat mailer.

When will I receive my art?

Please allow up to 14 days for your artwork to arrive.
