The Bell Jar// "Fig" Papercut Black Limited Edition
The Bell Jar papercut artwork. I have cut a halved fig fruit from 4 pages of Sylvia Plath's novel The Bell Jar. The fig represents the many life choices that Esther faces, and her inability to choose just one. I have also cut out letters from the page to create the novel title: The Bell Jar.
The centre of the fig is raised and spreads out from the surface. This gives the artwork life and depth and allows you to see the paper cut in all its fine detail.
