The Shining// "Come and Play With Us 239" A3 Proof

The Shining original artwork. This is page 239 from Stephen King's The Shining. 

I have used the 1970s carpet design, referenced in the book and seen in Kubrick's adaptation, to create the abstract outline of the Grady Twins. The words:

"Come and play with us"

have been cut out and placed beneath the twins. The 'face' of one twin has been cut away and placed over the other, whilst the infamous room number 217 replaces. 

The is a proof of concept original. Others will follow in a smaller form.
