War of the Worlds original art. This is page 234 of H.G. Wells' sci-fi classic War of the Worlds. Hand cut tripod together with letters (cut out in the order they appear) to create that classic line "across the gulf of space…intellects vast and cool and unsympathetic, regarded this earth with envious eyes, and slowly and surely drew their plans against us."
It was quite a challenge to fine a page where I could get these letters out in order, together with the cut out of a montrous tripod.
