JAWS// Bigger Boat 3
JAWS// Bigger Boat 3
Shark artwork featuring the opening page of Peter Benchley's terrifying novel JAWS.
All work is handcut. I have cut the menacing silhouette of a great white shark from the opening page (pg 3) together with radiating circles. The circles represent the shark's senses - detecting it's first victim.
I have cut out letters, keeping them in the order they were found on the page, to create that classic line "GONNA NEED A BIGGER BOAT." No shit. This line is mounted beneath the book page.
PLEASE NOTE
The shark's caudal fin (tail) is raised from the page by approx. 5mm. This gives the shark a more 3D, realistic presence. When framing, you should use a shadow box frame so as not to flatten the artwork.
