The Catcher in the Rye "On the Edge" Open Edition Single Page Papercut

This is an open edition, single page papercut. Each artwork is cut from a different book page.

I have cut the image of a merry-go-round horse as well as the book title "Catcher in the Rye".

Both image and line are symbolic. The line in the novel goes on to explain why the novel is called Catcher in the Rye. The merry-go-round is symbolic of Holden's transition from childhood as well as the cyclical nature of things.

Cut using my Cricut.Maker3 paper cutting machine as well as being cut by hand.

The papercut is glued to a black grunge background.

The artwork is A4 in size (210mm x 297mm)
