Description & Technique

The Wasp Factory original handcut artwork. 10 hours+ in the making. Constructed from pages 110, 117, 112, and 127 of Iain Bank's debut novel The Wasp Factory.

The papercut is attached to the background using a combination of glueing and hand stitching. This technique allows the artwork to be free from the background, providing life, depth and shadow.

This papercut arrives framed and ready to hang.

Professionally framed by a local framer. All our frames are handmade, open grain, wooden box frames. Box frames provide a space between the glass and artwork.
